Seven Weeks of Strip Poker

I wouldn’t say I was wasting the day
I’m making the weight of the world go away
The weight of the world is too heavy for me
When I wake I still ache, my head still in my dreams
When I wake I still ache, my head still in my dreams

I sit in corners of open fields
Finding comfort and safety in silent shield
And when the grass and the sky fade to grey
I gather the strength to make it through the day

Everybody look and see, there’s more to life than TV screens
When everything around seems wrong, I don’t wanna play along
And I’m so sick of trying, so hard to do the right thing
Is anybody feeling, just as bored and tired as me

I’m sorry if I seem just too pessimistic
But things never go quite that way that I wish them
To sit back content with the way that it is
Doesn’t change things they stay broken till they are fixed

Everybody look and see, there’s more to life than TV screens
When everything around seems wrong, I don’t wanna play along
And I’m so sick of trying, so hard to do the right thing
Is anybody feeling, just as bored and tired as me

Everybody look and see, there’s more to life than TV screens
When everything around seems wrong, I don’t wanna play along
And I’m so sick of trying, so hard to do the right thing
Is anybody feeling, just as bored and tired as me
